HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA!!

It's Birthday #2 for Miss Ella.......
She is quite the little lady these days...she KNOWS what she wants and when she wants it...She is doing great with the potty, not trained but well on her way...we are STILL cutting 2 year molars....her vocabulary is getting better, she is starting to put her word into sentences. She also loves her blanket she named "manny" clueless on why its named that, but whatever works for her.
She had her first haircut this weekend, she did not like that at all, but we were able to get a trim.

Wedding Weekend

Over the weekend we went to Louisville, KY for our good friend Jesse's wedding...it was so much fun...and believe it or not it was such a nice, RELAXED wedding....we enjoyed ourselves greatly!
Ella danced but of course Liam was not having it!! And by 9:30pm they were both ready to go...but other than that we enjoyed our little getaway...here are some pictures of the event!

Introducing my new babysitter!

Our computer has become a big hit with Ella now...Liam has been playing on it for awhile, but now miss Ella is big enough to sit beside her brother and "watch"...NOW before all of you nay sayer's start...I will say it first...NOT FOR LONG....I know she will begin to think she can play too!! And then fighting will start and everything else...but for now, I enjoy the serenity of peace and happiness!
The summer is practically over...and we have settled in our new place of living....I am hoping next summer will be much more relaxed. Holidays are coming!! Halloween is just around the corner and this is my FAVORITE holiday!! Liam wants to be a Transformer and Ella...well lets just hope she will participate. She is into her age 2, and has already cut one of her 2 year molars...which may explain some of this attitude I've come across here lately...all she wants to chew on is ice...she is surviving on milk and air for her nourishment. AND she has been very interested in the potty...if she's naked she rarely makes a mess, BUT if I put a pull up on her, she tends to forget...so if you show up at our house...you may see a full moon running around the house!

Kings Island 2009

WHAT A PERFECT DAY!!!!
We woke up this morning and decided that we would surprise the kids and take them to Kings Island today...Could not of asked for a more perfect day...the weather was perfect and no one was there...no lines at all!! Even to ride diamond back ( the new roller coaster) was only a 30 minute wait!!
My son decides that after two rides he was done and wanted to go home....typical, he is SUCH a home body!! and Ella of course loved every minute of it....we only stayed about 4 hours...but it was a nice little get away...
Ella was able to ride some of the rides with her BIG BROTHER and Liam- like I said before was happy with riding just a few of them...he got a new transformer toy that was left in the car so he was more interested in getting back to that. The picture of Ella with Scooby Doo was about as close as she would get....

A very LONG POST

So lets catch up!! Chris and I had our birthdays (his at the end of May) and Mine in June...Liam went to his first MLB baseball game with his daddy on his birthday

THEN the craziness began...I put a for sale sign in our yard on my birthday June 2...and we sold our house Saturday June 6th!!! Closed on it June 24th and closed on our new house June 29th...and in the meantime packing and cleaning both houses during all the papers being signed....The kids did great during all of the chaos, and LOVE the new house...Liam doesn't even mention the old one....so I'm grateful to not have those problems....we are now living in a different city but not to far from our old one! So new friends to meet and we are still able to visit old friends too....Pictures will come, but we are still settling ....so its not Picture Perfect yet....maybe next summer ....tee hee
The next few pictures are from Father's day, Chris took the kids to the park and I see from the pictures they had some M&M's hence Ella's face!
The one by the tree is our last day at our old house....
well just wanted you all to know I"m still here and hopefully now that things are settling down I'll be able to keep you updated more....even though nothing is really happening

Just another update.....IF all goes to plan, we will be purchasing a new home on the 29th of June....we have finally found a beautiful house! AFTER many offers on others :-) - which most of you told me to WAIT and something will turn out.....
I will post some pics...which reminds me I need to take some pictures of the MESS that I'm in now...basically my life is waking up, packing, taking it to the new house...coming home, getting children to take a nap...5:00pm hits and its FEEDING time...baths -then off to bed. then the next day we do it again! So my lack of communication is excusable I hope! Oh, and yes our house sold too..we are closing on it Wed. the 24th! SO busy is not a strong enough word.

Where Have you been??

I have been "blog" slacking, I know!!
Well here's the dish....those of you who talk to me on a semi-regular basis, know that we are hot and heavy house hunting...so anytime I'm on my computer, I am usually staring at houses. We have made offer(s) on one house, but it did not work into our favor. So we have moved on....now we are negotiating with another one at this moment, BUT we again are trying to "steal it" out from under them so who knows if this will work. Don't worry if it does, I will be sending out an update. So there you have it....I am CONSUMED with this house hunt, so much that I believe my hubby is about to take my computer away!

So onto the videos.
This was Liam's spring program for preschool...I have about 10 solid minutes of him doing the same thing that he is doing in these 4 short minutes.....standing there, shy and wishing he could find a hole to crawl in.....I sit and watch these and just crack up....it also drums up all the insecurities I felt as a youngster. Towards the end he even Yawns....!! After watching again- I do see a little effort put forth......very little.......For those of you asking yourself, What's with the towel around the boy's neck standing next to Liam?? Well that is his security thing...he had that thing wrapped around his neck EVERYDAY of preschool. Whatever works. My new motto!
After the Program video, Ella was eating Corn on the Cob and we just happen to catch it on video....and of course it wouldn't be a normal day without some new bug in the house, which Liam will display for the camera! Ella almost stabs me with a fork as well! Good Stuff at our house on a Saturday night!

NEW PET

So we have a new pet in our house.....a baby snapping turtle....until he gets bigger....then we will have to return him to the wild! I found him outside heading towards the road....yikes!
He loves earthworms and its interesting to watch him eat them...he sneaks up on it and "snaps" it up! Liam is in heaven with it! It goes to his room every night to sleep!!

Happy 4th Birthday LIAM!!

Its been CUPCAKE central around here for 3-4 days straight!!
Ella is banned from sugar....it pretty much creates her to be a ping pong ball bouncing from wall to wall....
Liam got a bicycle for his birthday from us and he wrecked the first day and told us to take it back....but since then he has did better. Also in this picture he is missing his helmet because we had to make 3 trips to Wally World to get a helmet BIG enough for his head...finally an 8 year old size helmet did the trick!
We had a little "friend" party today at Chuck E Cheese...went very well! And tomorrow on his actually day April 7th, he will have a party at school......Yeah!

Grandpa's Birthday

Grandpa Spurlock had his birthday this weekend.....

First time with the PUKES!

Just wanted to show a picture of Liam sick a couple of weekends ago....this is pretty much what he did for 5 days.....he didn't move much.
Ella got the same thing a week later, but she wouldn't let a puking bug get her down, she would just keep going then throw up on me or whatever was in her way...then off she went again! Sorry no pics of her.....I was worn out with it by the time she got it!

Last Weekend

Nothing to crazy has been happening...just some visitors....Aunt Kelli came down on Thursday and cooked us supper...yum, yum! Liam thought she was staying the night and woke up EXTRA early to find that she went home...will he ever forgive his Auntie??
Then Papa and Mamaw came down on Saturday to celebrate Mamaw's birthday...which we went to Malones....again very tasty!
And to you Aunt Cathy: Thanks to Grandpa Ron, the HUGE dump truck is now put to use in this way......(see Picture :-) And they have a ton of fun with each of them being a load! And finally I LOVE this picture of Ella. (i have hit something and cannot get the bold or underline off so pay no attention to it)

Precious moments

So its been awhile, I know....I'm sick of this weather and we are just patiently waiting for WARM weather...this means we are just sitting idle...nothing to report.
Here are some latest happenings:
Ella is now 16 months old
She went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago
height 33.5 98%
weight 23lbs 50%
She is still very active...climbing on everything...she pretty much has mastered our stairs now,
She hold her own with her brother...in which I am often catching her giving a right or left hook across his head or nearest body part.

Liam: He is now sleeping in a big boy bed!!! To those of you with 2-3 year olds....if they are sleeping fine in their cribs, LEAVE THEM ALONE....do not give into peers!!! Our transition went very smooth and he told me to take down the crib and we haven't had a problem yet....and its been about 2 months now. I realize this is a hot topic, this was my experience and I will promote it because it worked for me....
Now with Ella, I'm sure she is going to give me fits, since I already catch her slinging her leg over the rail of the crib!
so at last these pictures were taking tonight....I was in the kitchen baking brownies and when I look into the family room I see this:

Go away SNOW

So if you missed the Dirty Dancing clip in the previous post, well its gone now- some copyright thing....shame shame...I could of looked at that FOREVER!
So we got hit with this winter storm that seems to be sweeping across the entire United States...the pictures in this post are from a previous snow fall. After getting them dressed to go out in it and which meant "fighting" to put all those clothes on and then lasting a whole twenty minutes I wasn't about do that battle again...but at least Ella got a "real taste of it" ha, ha

Cologne

Cologne....to me this is a big one!! You have to smell GOOOOOD!
Lets face it, If a guy is a 5 on a scale 1-10...if he smells good he will go up to at least a 7!
So this will be my mission before Valentine's day/anniversary...I am going to hunt for a good smelling cologne for my senses....any suggestions?
In case your lost...I am counting down to Valentine's day. I am coming up with ideas for romance..for those who need some help, plus its a break from my usual day to day. My brain needs some triggers other than play.

What makes a Man?

Okay, its Saturday night and what else do I have to do....I have one child in bed and the other is with his babysitter....(tv) and my husband went ice fishing....
I have been reading other blogs and found some interesting stuff...which those who read mine will now benefit from!
Valentine's day is coming which means also my 5 year anniversary....so to all you men out there that may "glance" at my blog....I am going to post suggestions on how SOME of us women see you and wish you to be.....

Ella has her tubes!

So we have made it through surgery....it was a little rough in the morning of...but she came through with a quick nap, she forgot all about it. Until we see the doctor again in two weeks...I'm sure she'll flashback then..yeah! More screaming, she HATES the doc right now....more than ever since we have gave her 3 shots in a matter of a week on top of oral antibiotics trying to clear up these ears. AND now we have to go back at the end of this month for more vaccines...I wonder if she thinks I am evil??? I know, I know, just wait until she is a teenager and she will know I'm evil!
Liam is doing fine....we are going through age 3 so fast...and let me tell you the defiance that has come with this age is just lovely....and yes I realize this is just the beginning. I often say to him things like " your driving me crazy" or "chill out" my favorite...Mr. Bipolar....funny thing....they get repeated back to me when I'm doing something crazy....like driving ...I will hear familiar quotes! or when I'm yelling at the dog....I'll be told to "chill out" Which brings me to my new motto posted on the side.......

Also I threw in a couple of Ella when she had this High Fever virus before Christmas and then gave it to her brother....I didn't get pics of Liam, by the time he got it I was wore out....
funny thing...with both of them, their eyes turned red and were bloodshot...don't know if it had anything to do with there 104 degree fevers or what, but they looked awful...I was trying to capture it in the photo of Ella, but she wasn't having it!
